John has been an Occupational Therapist for 10 years. He is currently the occupational therapy manager for Cook County Health in Chicago, IL. He oversees the day-to-day operations for all occupational therapy services provided at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital, Provident Hospital, Cook County Jail, and Blue Island Health Center. His clinical work is with adult upper extremity rehabilitation. He has research interests in occupational therapy acute care rehabilitation.
John has been a member of AOTA, ILOTA and ASHT for 10 years. He serves as an adjunct clinical instructor for orthosis fabrication at Governors State University and has been a guest speaker at the University of Illinois at Chicago for several years on the topic of leadership. John also serves as the Treasurer for the Chicago Area Council of Occupational Therapy Directors.
